John Hicks, tax specialist

John joined Accutax during the 2008 tax season.  After graduating SUNY Albany with an accounting degree, John worked for a small accounting firm in the Capital District handling the financial needs of a diverse group of small businesses.  But John has also enjoyed the freedom -- and challenges -- of owning his own business.   For more than three years he has operated a landscaping service and now returns to Accutax in January to split his time among all four tax offices.

John plays guitar, loves to ski, and enjoys traveling.  "You can't beat a good adventure," he said.  He also devotes time weekly to "helping people learn what the Bible teaches," he said.
